You don't have to be crafty to make these homemade gifts for Mom! Truffles are one of the easiest treats you'll ever make and they taste AMAZING!
You won't have to bake them in an oven but you will have to mix two or three things in a pot on the top of the stove. You also have to make sure you have all the ingredients in the kitchen BEFORE you start the project.
Assemble all the ingredients before you start to work:
You will need a small sized heavy saucepan and a spoon to use for stirring.
Then roll each ball in a saucer of cocoa or nuts. Your hands are going to get messy but it's worth it. When you're finished you can lick you fingers as a reward for a job well done.
Put the truffles on a fancy plate and cover them with plastic wrap. They MUST be kept in the refrigerator until they're going to be eaten. Remember that the truffles are supposed to be homemade gifts for Mom ... not you or your brothers and sisters. If you're worried that somebody will eat them, slip the plate into a plastic bag and tape a note to it that says "Fresh liver." Tell your Mom that it's not really liver but that you don't want her to open it because it's a surprise.
